You must be a current member of MSCC and a speech pathologist to be eligible to sign up for this conference.

In accordance with ASHA's policy on speech language pathologists training other professionals in the delivery of services to individuals with swallowing and feeding disorders, ONLY SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST ARE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THIS TRAINING.  OTHER PROFESSIONALS MAY NOT ATTEND THIS TRAINING.

1.    List 3 different obstructive pathologies that can be seen on the MBSE in the pharyngeal phase of the swallow

2.    Describe the relationship between the UES and the hypopharynx in the case of a hypertensive UES. 

3.    List 2 reasons why the AP view is important in diagnosing pharyngeal dysfunction.

4.    Describe how to perform an esophageal screen.

 5.    Explain the clinical utility of an esophageal screen.
